Snow Cream
If you are up for an activity when the snow rolls in tomorrow evening… here is a recipe to make your own snow cream. Thanks Tony Backmon for sharing!
Old Fashioned Snow Cream
Start with LARGE POT
Mix together:
One can evaporated milk (Pet or Carnation)
One quart of regular milk
Four eggs
1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla
2 ½ cups of sugar
Heat on low until all mixture is blended together and sugar is melted.
Take off stove…let cool a little.
Add snow and stir until you get the texture you want.
If snow melts, just add more snow!
Mix up all you want, freeze it in plastic bags and when the temperature gets 90 next summer, enjoy AGAIN. Taste exactly like home made vanilla ice cream.

I did not try making the snow cream this snow go-round. Maybe next time, I know the kids would love it.
